What I won't do

Well...I hadn't planned on this topic, but the situation has come up so I'll lay my views out on the table.

I went to Amazon and checked the stats for Reclamation. As you know, or maybe you don't, it was released two months ago. A short time, I agree. In the past month, it's sold 0 (that's zero) copies and had 0 (again zero) pages read. Although disappointing, it's not unexpected.

I mentioned it to a close friend tonight and she immediately starts spitting out promo ideas. She points me at a marketing strategy website (one she's pointed me at several times prior) and gives me a list of local radio stations to send my book to for review and on and on. I finally had to cut her off and say 'enough already.' All she accomplished was to spark my anger.

If anyone is reading this, or following me on FB - I say "if" because I have no clue whether anyone is reading any of this or not. My assumption is not (as in no one is reading this) given my past experiences, until proven otherwise. But back to the point....

Rest assured I will NOT flood you (or anyone else) with "buy me" messages, ads and whatnot. I know from my own experience, they quickly become annoying to the point that I don't even see them any more (on FB). I scroll right past without looking more than a cursory skim. Those which come in my email are quickly skimmed and deleted. Annoy me often enough and I'll unsubscribe from whatever it was that gave away my email address. In short -

I won't do to someone else what I don't like.

If you want to purchase my book (or books whenever that day comes that there's more than one), feel free to purchase it. I'll be eternally grateful, but I won't push you. If you want to read, rate and/or review it (or them when the time comes), you'll earn my gratitude. The choice, as always, is yours.

Rant over.
